The following are steps to down load the Key Express Macro Program.  Please note that your computer may be slightly different, but you should be able to complete the process by adjusting the steps to conform to your computer's operating system.


Step 1.  Download KeyExpress

Click on "Key Express Download" to download the Macro Program

When the File Download box appears click on "Save"

Save the file to your "Program Files"




Step 2.  Download the DLL File

Click on "Key Express DLL File" to download it.

When the File Download box appears click on "Save"

Save the file to your "Program Files"


Step 3.  Download the Key Express License Key

Click on "Key Express License Key" to download it.

When the File Download box appears click on "Save"

Save the file to your "Program Files"


Step 4.  Download the Pre-Made Macros File

Click on "Pre-Made Macros" to download it.

When the File Download box appears click on "Save"

Save the file to you "Program Files"




Step 5: Create A Desk Top Short Cut

In your task bar click on "Start" - "Search" - "For Files or Folders"
Search for Files or Folders named: (type in) KeyExpress
Look In: Select C: Drive from the drop down menu
Click on "Search Now"

The Key Express files will appear.  Right click on the keyboard icon preceding "KEYEXP"
Click on "Send To" - "Desk Top (create short cut)"
You should not have a short cut link on your desk top.



Step 6:  Set Option To Ensure Program Remains Open

If while performing these steps you receive a message stating program is already running
hold the control key on your keyboard and right click your mouse.


Go to your Desk Top and double click the "Key Express" Icon to open the program
At the top of the Key Express window click on "Options" - "Program Activate Key"
NONE - Do Not Hide should have a check mark in front of it
If it doesn't click on it so that it does have a check mark
The program will now remain open even when working in other windows.




Step 7:  Import Pre-Made Macro File

At the top of the Key Express window click on "Hot Keys" - "Import Hot Keys"
Click on "Open File" in lower left corner

If your Program Files folder does not open automatically you will need to search for it
by clicking on the image of the folder with the up arrow in it.

Once you have the Program Files folder double click on "HOSTMACROS.KE2"

The macros will appear in the Import Macros screen.
Click on "Select All" at the bottom of the window and then click OK



The Pre-Made Macros should now be listed in the Macro Program



Step 8:  Activate License Key

In your task bar click on "Start" - "Search" - "For Files or Folders"
Search for Files or Folders named: (type in) LicKey
Look In: Select C: Drive from the drop down menu
Click on "Search Now"

When the LickKey file appears double click it and then click OK to accept it.


Step 9:  Test Macros

Right click on the Macro Icon in your task bar and then click on Close.
(You have to close it once before it will operate correctly)

Go to your Desk Top and double click the Key Express Icon to open the program
Macros can be tested in: MS Word, Note Pad, any empty Pogo Room or on a table in WP Casual.
Type a player's name and press the F-11 Key

Armed ....whoo hoo you got the moves!!


Step 10:  Modify Macros

Where a macro has (Modify Points or Info) after it, you need to modify that macro before using it.

For Example:  F-1:  Coming Up Next
Click on the F1 Macro in the listing.  It will then appear highlighted.
Click on "Modify Keystrokes" option on the right side.

This opens the macro so that you can now edit it.  You will want to change the upcoming
tournament information to your tournament information.  Tab down to the "Enter Keystrokes" area.
You have to over write the time, format and jump #.
After making the changes click on UPDATE in lower left corner.

You can re-word all of the macros to fit your own personality if you wish to do so.
You should keep them short & sweet otherwise the players will tend not to read them.
Be sure to insert an ENTER after each line so that they are not a huge block of text.
To add an enter, type your sentence and then click on Enter in the lower gray boxes.

You can also Add and Remove macros from the Macro Main Menu.
